The innovative mobile application features AI assistant “Mel,” transaction management, and exclusive listings to compete with industry giants
Distinct Concierge Real Estate has officially launched its consumer app, aiming to transform how clients search for and purchase properties with advanced AI technology and streamlined features.
The mobile application, which has been available in app stores since February but was undergoing beta testing, now offers consumers the ability to search properties like industry leaders Zillow and Redfin, but with enhanced capabilities exclusive to Distinct Concierge clients.
“We’re aiming for this app to compete at a level of a Zillow or Redfin, with enhanced features that Zillow and Redfin don’t offer,” said Rod Watson, Founder and CEO of Distinct Concierge Real Estate.
At the heart of the app is “Mel,” an AI assistant that analyzes user preferences and provides tailored property recommendations. When users save favorites or reject properties, they can provide specific feedback on why a property doesn’t match their criteria – whether it’s price, location, condition, or other factors.
“The AI assistant Mel actually gathers that information and then prepares properties that are going to be more in line with what the consumer is looking for,” Watson explained.
The app’s chat feature allows clients to communicate directly with their agent and interact with Mel for instant information about neighborhoods, market conditions, and property details.
“They can talk with me directly in the chat, but then they can also communicate with Mel,” said Watson. “For example, they would use the @ symbol @Mel: what’s the average price per square foot in Beverly Hills, and then Mel will pull that data up and share.”
Soon, clients will be able to complete transactions entirely within the app – signing disclosures, reviewing contract documents, and accessing transaction management timelines from escrow opening through inspections and earnest money deposits.
“Everything will be right there, housed within the app,” Watson noted. “Those documents will be stored, so if they want to reference and go back to those documents, they’re there. They’re not having to shamble through emails and look for them.”
A major differentiator for the app is access to off-market and pocket listings exclusive to Distinct Concierge.
“The consumer will not only be able to see what’s listed on the MLS, but they’ll also be able to see what’s not active on the MLS – pockets, coming soons, those off-market opportunities,” Watson shared.
Another unique feature will be AI-generated Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) reports available within minutes.
“If they want to know what their actual value of their property is, they can get a CMA market report within minutes, whereas the old model is you have to go to an agent site or go to some company site, type in your information and wait for a response,” Watson said.
The application currently covers all of California, Texas, and Florida, with Georgia, Nevada, and Denver markets coming soon. Watson sees the technology as a strategic tool for expanding the Distinct Concierge brand while reclaiming client relationships from larger platforms.
“We’re using this as a strategy to roll out into other markets,” Watson explained. “The value add is, ‘Here’s how you can stand out in the marketplace with this tool.'”
Watson emphasized that the company’s focus remains on elevating the real estate experience through both technology and service.
“We are client-centric first. We’re focused on providing a high-level, elevated service to the home buying and selling experience,” Watson said. “We know everyone wants to get information on the go, quickly and fast. Our mission at the end of the day is to help each individual have success, find their home, build their legacy.”
Updates to the application will be released monthly based on user feedback as Distinct Concierge continues to enhance features and functionality.
