Real estate technology is experiencing a seismic shift as Radius introduces groundbreaking features that promise to fundamentally change how agents communicate with clients. The company’s latest innovations: AI-powered phone numbers and advanced listening capabilities, represent the first-of-their-kind integration that could redefine productivity standards across the industry.

Revolutionary AI-Integrated Phone Systems

Radius has launched a communication platform that allows team leaders to generate dedicated phone numbers for their agents through the app. These Voice over IP numbers can be deployed across multiple marketing channels, from Zillow advertisements to Instagram campaigns, enabling agents to track lead sources with unprecedented precision.

“We don’t want agents to put in that work to get the best out of the CRM. Mel, our AI assistant, will put in that work for them,” explains Biju Ashokan, CEO of Radius. “When we say we’re building an anti-CRM, that’s what we mean.”

What sets this system apart is its seamless integration. Clients don’t need to download any apps, they simply make calls as they normally would. Meanwhile, agents access all communication through the unified Radius Office app, eliminating the need to toggle between multiple platforms.

Meet Mel: The AI Assistant That Never Sleeps

The platform’s AI assistant, Mel, represents a paradigm shift in how real estate professionals handle client interactions. Unlike traditional note-taking tools, Mel actively participates in calls, capturing detailed summaries, scheduling appointments, and creating property searches based on client conversations.

“When an agent makes a call through the Radius app, Mel listens in on that call, just like how you have note takers in Zoom calls,” Ashokan notes. “At the end of the call, it summarizes the entire call, clearly breaks down the highlights, and also sets up appointments that were discussed.”

If a client mentions they’re searching for a property in San Francisco within a specific budget range, Mel automatically creates a search board and begins recommending suitable properties, all without agent intervention.

The Anti-CRM Revolution

Traditional CRMs require constant data entry and maintenance to remain effective. Radius flips this model entirely, with Mel handling the administrative burden. The AI assistant automatically takes call notes, schedules meetings, creates property searches, handles follow-ups, and maintains detailed client histories.

“CRM is only as useful as the amount of data and work you put into it,” Ashokan explains. “What if we removed all those dependencies on an agent to make a CRM more effective? That’s what we’re trying to do.”

Proactive Client Engagement

Perhaps most revolutionary is Mel’s capability to proactively engage with leads. When new leads are generated, Mel immediately begins nurturing them through text, email, or in-app chat, introducing itself as the agent’s assistant and collecting crucial search criteria.

“The vision here is if an agent typically sells 10 properties a year, can we help them increase their pipeline by 10x?” Ashokan asks. “If an agent can sell one or two deals a month, we can easily make it seven or eight deals a month.”

White-Label Approach

Radius’s commitment to white-labeling reflects their unique positioning as a technology company with a brokerage license. Each partner can customize their AI assistant’s name and branding: one partner named their assistant “Willow” instead of “Mel.”

“We don’t want to be a brokerage. We want to be a technology firm,” Ashokan clarifies. “Our vision is to create brands with us in the background powering these brands.”

The Future of Real Estate

As artificial intelligence handles routine tasks, agents can refocus on building relationships, providing expert guidance, and facilitating negotiations.

“Real estate agents’ part in this future would be client interactions, negotiations – the actual big mover in closing a deal,” Ashokan envisions. “You’re not going to buy a property without meeting someone and shaking hands with them.”

Radius’s innovations signal a broader transformation where AI doesn’t replace human expertise but amplifies it, enabling unprecedented scales of personal service and business growth.
