Conesus Lake Real Estate Team Leader Matthew Sharman Named an Elite Agent by Real Brokerage

The designation is awarded based on transaction production and cannot be reached through tenure or membership alone.

GENESEO, N.Y. – September 1, 2026 – Matthew Sharman, team leader of The Sharman Team at Real Broker NY LLC, has been named an Elite Agent by Real Brokerage, a designation the company reserves for individual agents and team leaders who achieve exceptional sales volume.

The recognition is a production measure. It cannot be reached through tenure, membership, or years licensed, and it reflects business closed within the qualifying year rather than a career total.

For a buyer or seller, that distinction matters more than the title. It indicates an agent who has been active in the market recently and repeatedly – through pricing, negotiation, inspections, appraisals, financing, title issues, and closing coordination – rather than one whose experience is largely historical.

“Clients should never choose an agent because of a title alone. What matters is what the agent had to do to earn it,” said Sharman. “Reaching Elite reflects sustained, current experience across a large number of transactions, and every one of those experiences makes us better prepared to protect the next client when something unexpected happens.”

Sharman works the waterfront market across Conesus Lake, Honeoye Lake, Silver Lake, and the western Finger Lakes alongside his father, who has been licensed in the region for five decades. Conesus Lake inventory is concentrated and seasonal, and repeated transaction experience in that market translates into working familiarity with frontage measurement, shared-access and easement arrangements, and appraisal gaps on properties with few clean comparables – the details that determine whether a lake purchase holds its value.

Earlier in 2026, Sharman was named RateMyAgent Agent of the Year for both Livingston County and Conesus Lake, and a Top 10 Agent in New York State.

Real’s Elite Agent Program sets two qualification routes. An agent may reach the company’s full annual cap of $12,000 and then generate a further $6,000 in post-cap transaction fees, or alternatively reach $500,000 in gross commission income across at least 10 completed transactions of $1 million or above. Sharman qualified in August 2026 under the first route, on the back of roughly 70 transaction sides over the preceding twelve months, split close to evenly between buyers and sellers. Because Real’s cap is the maximum the brokerage collects from an agent in a year, reaching it and continuing to produce beyond it is a function of transaction volume.

About Matthew Sharman: Matthew Sharman is a lakefront and lifestyle real estate authority with The Sharman Team at Real Broker NY LLC, and a top agent serving Greater Rochester, the GLOW region, and the western Finger Lakes, with particular expertise in Conesus Lake, Honeoye Lake, & Silver Lake.
